Curriculum

The school's curriculum has been developed by taking into consideration national and local authority initiatives as well as learning opportunities linked directly to our locality.   In addition to the termly curriculum newsletters and Year group curriculum maps found on this website, our school prospectus also provides further information regarding each curriculum area.  More information regarding the organisation and aims of our curriculum can be found within the curriculum policy.

Our curriculum intent is to create lifelong learners with a love of learning who are ready for the next stage of their educational journey.

Religious Education

As a school we follow the Living Difference IV syllabus.

Parents have the right to withdraw their children from parts or all of the RE curriculum. Should you wish to do so, please do not hesitate to discuss this with us in the first instance.  Thank you.

Assemblies

We have three assemblies during the school week: Monday assemblies are based on elements of SMSC (social, moral, spiritual and cultural) education, Tuesday assemblies allow us the children to lead on key ideas as well as practise singing whilst Thursday assemblies provide pupils with an opportunity to explore school values including British Values while Friday assemblies celebrate the achievements of children in the preceding week.
