MFL: French 

At Clanfield, we follow the Language Angels scheme to deliver a high-quality and engaging French curriculum across all year groups. This structured programme ensures clear progression and supports pupils in developing their confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.

Lessons are interactive and stimulating, incorporating songs, games, and a variety of activities designed to make language learning enjoyable and memorable. The scheme provides well-sequenced and consistent lessons, enabling all pupils to make steady progress as they move through the school. 

The resources are clear, vibrant, and accessible, supporting teachers in delivering accurate and effective lessons. Pupils respond positively to the engaging content and take great pride in their achievements, often sharing how they have used their French skills beyond the classroom — whether on visits to France or when practising with family members at home.

MFL:Spanish

We know that children are enthusiastic about learning new languages, and we are fortunate to have Beatriz working with us. She runs a private Spanish after-school club every Friday, which is extremely popular with our pupils.
