Head Teacher's Welcome

Welcome to Clanfield Junior School – a place where every child is encouraged to be the best that they can be.

I am very proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school, where our children are at the heart of everything we do.  At Clanfield Junior School, we believe that every child should feel a deep sense of belonging the moment they walk through our doors. Belonging isn’t just about being part of a school — it’s about feeling valued, respected, and connected to a community that celebrates who you are. Our staff take great pride in offering a wide range of experiences that help children discover their passions, strengths and new interests. We have an abundance of visitors, events and extra trips to help our children thrive and develop as unique individuals

We strongly believe in letting children experience the joy and wonder of play throughout their school life, and we take an active role in protecting childhood at all costs.  Set within beautiful grounds, Clanfield Junior School provides children with countless opportunities to experience the benefits of nature, and the positive impact that being outdoors has on our children’s wellbeing and learning. All pupils have the opportunity to explore and play in our forest area, enjoy the mud kitchen, build dens and spend time with their friends in the fresh air. Our courtyard and pond area are also much-loved spaces, providing calm and inspiring environments for children to relax and connect with nature.

Our school councillors play an important role in helping us to make social times special. Together, we’ve built up a fantastic collection of toys and resources for everyone to enjoy — from Lego, dolls’ houses, and vehicles to construction kits and sports equipment — there’s something for everyone.

Our pupils’ achievements, enthusiasm, and love of learning make us incredibly proud. We celebrate their hard work and determination every day, and our excellent academic outcomes reflect their commitment to doing their best. Our school values — Be Kind, Be Resilient, Be Respectful, and Be Curious — encourage every child to aim high, enjoy learning, and feel proud of their successes.

If you would like to learn more about our school, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly school office — they will be happy to help. Visits from prospective parents are always warmly welcomed, and we would love the opportunity to show you first-hand what makes Clanfield Junior School such a special place to belong to.

We look forward to meeting you,
