Governors
Welcome to our Governors' section.
Our governors care deeply about the school and know it well. They take pride in being part of the Clanfield community and share our commitment to ensuring every child is supported to be the best that they can be.
Governors play an active role in school life — they visit regularly, meet with pupils to hear their views, and see first-hand how our values of Be Kind, Be Resilient, Be Respectful, and Be Curious are brought to life in classrooms and across the wider school.
A key part of their work involves supporting and challenging the school to keep improving. Through regular meetings, visits, and discussions with staff and children, governors help to shape the school’s strategic direction and ensure that decisions are always made in the best interests of our pupils.
Our Governing Body’s dedication, care, and genuine enthusiasm for Clanfield Junior School make a real difference — helping us to provide a nurturing, ambitious, and inclusive education for every child.
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
Our Chair of Governors is Barbara Edington, she can be contacted via the school office or via the clerk to governors by email: clerktogb@live.co.uk
We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests and an Annual Statement of Interests for your information.
