Growing Together: Gardening Club at CJS

We are delighted to offer after-school clubs that promote gardening and the joy of being outdoors. Our young gardeners don’t just meet after school — they also have regular opportunities during the school day to tend to our plants, work alongside the local Parish Gardeners, and water our newly planted trees.

Earlier this year, the children even organised a mini plant sale, raising funds to buy more seeds and resources for future projects. We are incredibly grateful to Keydells Garden Centre for their generous support, providing us with compost, plants, and seeds to help us achieve our gardening goals.

To celebrate our children’s enthusiasm for the environment, the local Parish introduced a brand-new Green Award for our school. Several pupils were nominated by staff for their outstanding contributions to caring for nature — and we were thrilled to see so many winners and highly commended runners-up in the very first year of this award! 🌱🌼
