Free School Meals

Are you eligible for Free School Meals? 

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following: 

  • Income Support 
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance 
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance 
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit 
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income of less than £16,190  
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit 
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

If you are entitled to Free School Meals or are serving in the armed forces (and this is unknown to us), please contact the school office. Even if your child does not have a free school meal the school receives additional funding to support your child’s education. 

Our dinners are provided by HC3S which is the largest provider of school dinners in Hampshire.  The current cost of a school dinner is £3.20 per day with effect from September 2024.  Lunches must be pre-paid through your child's SCOPay account.  If you have not already registered for your account, please contact the school office.

Education Catering Special Diet Information

If your child requires a medical special diet, you need to create an account with Education Catering

Once you have created your account, we will be able to review your medical evidence with our NHS dietician in order to devise an adapted menu for your child's school lunch.

Living with allergies comes with its own set of rules so when it comes to food, as education caterers, we want to make this as easy as possible for you as a family. Our staff are trained in food safety and regularly update their skills on allergens. We never underestimate the dangers of food allergies and intolerances and that's why we work hard to get it right.
