Our School Uniform

At Clanfield Junior School, we believe our uniform helps everyone feel part of one big team — it shows that we belong, that we’re proud of our school, and that we’re ready to learn together.
We also want children to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear every day.

Our pupils are currently taking part in a Pupil Voice consultation to share their ideas on how we might simplify our uniform and make it even more comfortable for everyone.

Everyday Uniform

• Plain white polo shirt or white blouse/shirt

• Dark grey, black or navy skirt/pinafore dress, or dark grey/black trousers or tailored shorts

• Navy school sweatshirt, cardigan or fleece with the school logo, or a plain navy jumper/cardigan

• White, black or grey socks or tights

• Flat black shoes or plain black trainers (no colourful logos please)

• In warmer weather, a blue and white checked or striped summer dress can be worn

P.E. Kit

• Plain black or navy sports shorts

• Plain pale blue or white t-shirt, or pale blue t-shirt with school logo

• Plain black trainers

• Navy/black jogging bottoms or black leggings

• Navy or black sweatshirt, school jumper or fleece

Hair and Jewellery

To help everyone stay safe and focused:

• Hair dyeing or shaved designs are not permitted

• Long hair must be tied back for Cookery, Art, DT and PE/Games

• Only small, discreet stud earrings may be worn, and must be removed or covered with tape for PE

• Religious jewellery must be removed for PE

• Smart watches that allow messaging, calls or photographs are not permitted

Make-up

Children should not wear make-up, nail varnish, lip gloss or temporary tattoos in school.
