Although all schools had been notified that the new inspection framework had raised expectations significantly higher, we are extremely disappointed to have been judged as ‘satisfactory’. Inspectors informed us that we were very close to being judged as ‘good’. It is, therefore, hugely frustrating that, although inspectors recognised that the leadership of the school had overcome considerable issues since the last inspection, we were not awarded the ‘good’ grading that we believe to be appropriate for our school.
Clearly, the vast majority of parents agree with our view and we thank you for your tremendous level of support which overwhelmingly acknowledged the good work that we do at our school. Inspectors told us that parental and pupil questionnaire responses were as positive as they had ever seen and this gives us the confidence to build upon what we have already achieved in recent years in our aim to make Clanfield Junior the very best school it can be.
