Thursday 8th May, 2025 was the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The children were invited to come in school dressed in red, white and blue to represent the colours of the Union Jack flag. During the day, classes learnt all about the importance of this day 80 years ago, creating art work of teacups and teapots as they were part of the many street parties that would have been held up and down the nation. In honour of that coming together as a community, CJS had a picnic lunch on the field with all the children mixing together. There was a surprise visit by some of our Governors who helped to hand out ice-pops, which were very well received since it was such a sunny day!
